Love is simple, love is kind, love is sweet, and love will make you feel like a million bucks! What other emotion can bring such a good feeling?
Happiness can have the same feelings as love, but there is just something wonderful about love and that feeling of love. Everyone of us look for love.
During this time I really want to encourage you to love on someone, maybe that is a friend, or an elderly person, or a neighbor, we can do this in so many ways, even with all the guidelines of social distancing and stay at home orders.
Here are a few ways to spread the love during these times.
- Call a friend or family member and chat with them about something fun or positive. Ask them if they have any needs. We can do porch drops :)
- If your out on an essential run like to the grocery store, smile at someone. A smile goes a long way and it can mean so much to someone.
- Give up your parking space, even if the person seems grumpy or irritated, sometimes they are the people who need the most love.
- Keep your attitude in check. Be a light through a hard time. It is so easy to get frustrated right now, make the decision to have an attitude that has meaning.
- Give a roll of toilet paper to someone who cannot find any. Sounds kinda funny, but as we all know toilet paper these days is worth gold!
- If your disinfecting your mail box go ahead and do it for all the mail boxes.
- Help an elderly person if you see them struggling (if you have gloves on).
- Let someone go in front of you in the grocery line.
- If your in the coffee drive through, buy the next persons coffee for them.
- Tell someone they look beautiful.
- Let your family know how happy you are to have this extra time with them.
- Be grateful. I know its hard times. If you can be grateful during the hard times it keeps you healthy mentally and sets an example for your family.
- Remember it's the little things that count!
- Always remember to take care of you, some of you may have a million things added to your plate with kids being home and maybe your spouse, do not forget that you matter and take care of you!
